Victim Was 18...
County Marine Killed in War

WALLACETON - Glenn Knepp of Wallaceton was notified last night that his son, Pfc. Glenn D. Knepp, 18, was killed in action Sunday near Saigon, Vietnam.
Pfc. Knepp was serving with the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines. He was sent to Vietnam Feb. 8.
The young Marine was the fourth Clearfield County-Moshannon Valley resident to be killed in action in Vietnam. Four former district residents have also died there.
A native of Woodland, he was born Jan. 7, 1949. He attended Clearfield Area High School prior to enlisting in the Marines March 3, 1966, at Clearfield. He completed basic training at Parris Island, S. C. and parachute training at Ft. Benning Ga.
Surviving are his parents, Glenn Knepp of Wallaceton and Mrs. Norma Jean Knepp of Baltimore, Md.; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Knepp of Wallaceton and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Towey of Baltimore.
